Could not register export connector

Note: This applies to DocuShare 6.5.x. DocuShare 6.6.x uses the DocuShare CIM (Config Tool).

Note: This applies to SC2DS 9.0 with Windows 7 and Windows 2008.

Issue

After installing AC2DS 9.0, users are unable to add the Database Export Connector manager to Kofax 9. Instead a Kofax Capture Administration pop up window is displayed with the following message.

Could not register export connector.

Filename C:\Program Files\Xerox\AC2DS9.0\AC2DS.inf

Connector name: AC2DS Middleware 9.0

The DllRegister() call failed.

Reason / Possible Cause

Currently the DS Kofax connector for Kofax 9 does not work on Windows 7 and Windows 2008 environments.

Workaround

The only workaround is to use Window XP or win 2003.
