When you burn in annotations and redactions, a new version of the document is created in PDF format. A setting in the Administration UI controls whether or not the version is saved as the preferred version. The default is to not save the PDF created from burn in as the preferred version.
To change the default setting:
- From the Administration menu, click Services and Components | Document Viewer.
- In the Change Preferred Version After Burn-in field, select Yes.
- Click Apply.
Because each burn in creates a new document version, you may want to increase the maximum number of versions (Max Versions) saved for a document. The default is 4. You can change the setting on a per-document basis or for all documents. To change the maximum number of versions for all documents, you must be an administrator.
