Broken Thumbnail Images in DocuShare 2.2

The View Format property is set to Images in DocuShare 2.2 to enable thumbnail viewing for a collection but the thumbnail images are broken.

When DocuShare 2.2 was installed, the SP_RELEASE variable may have been set incorrectly.
NOTE: This solution should only be done by a system administrator for the server.

Make sure that the system environment variable for SP_RELEASE is set to the correct drive and path, for example: \lib\SANDPI~1.

Environment variables are set in the following place depending on your OS:

If you are using a Microsoft NT Server:
  1. From the desktop, click on [Start], point to [Settings], then select [Control Panel].
  2. Click [System], then select [Environment].
If you are using a Windows 2000 Server:
  1. From the desktop, click on [Start], point to [Settings], then select [Control Panel].
  2. Click [System], then [Advanced], then select [Environment Variables].
If you are using Solaris:
  1. In a Tool window, type:setenv SP_RELEASE ${DSHOME}/lib/Sandpiper.
  2. Press [Enter].
