NOTE: The DocuShare 3.0.x server's hard drive is filling up with jar_cache temp files located in the system temp directory. These files are from the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) used by DocuShare 3.0.x. DocuShare 3.1 will not have this problem since the issue is addressed with a newer version of Java.

- Stop the DocuShare 3 Service from the Windows Services manager .
- Make sure there are no JVM instances running in Processes using the system’s Task Manager. If there are, do an 'End Process.' To open Windows Task Manager, right-click an empty space on the taskbar, and then click [Task Manager] .
- Make a complete system backup, including the temp files as a precaution .
- Change the DocuShare Service under Service Manager to Manual Start up.
- To open Services, click on [Start], point to [Settings], then click on [Control Panel].
- Double-click on [Administrative Tools], then double-click on [Services].
- Right-click on the service you want to configure, and then click [Properties].
- Click on the [General] tab, and under Startup, click on [Manual Startup].
. - Reboot the DocuShare Server while the Services are set to Manual to release any JVM's from memory cache .
- Delete the Temp files while DocuShare is stopped and there are no JVM's running .
- After the files are deleted, change the DocuShare 3.0 Service back to an [Automatic Startup] .
- Reboot the server
