Note: This applies to Servers that have the DocuShare Content Store on a separate server or NAS.
Issue
DocuShare fails to start after a new/fresh install.
The \logs\Monitor.log displays the following error:
ERROR - MonitorServerImpl.callStartOnServer: DSException exception com.xerox.docushare.DSException: The ContentStoreRoot directory does not exist: \\ServerABC\Share\Documents
Solution
If the content store is not located on the same system as DocuShare, check the permissions on the location and ensure the DocuShare service logon has Read/Write to that location. This can be done by referring to the DocuShare service properties, logon tab. A specific user may need to be used for logon purposes, if the documents location is locked down preventing everyone Full Control or Read/Write access.
