Issue
Error “File damage can not open†is displayed when trying to view a PDF in DocuShare Web UI.
Solution
If you save the file to your desktop does it open successfully. The issue may be with the plugin used by your browser to render the PDF. Have IT person or department resolve the Adobe plugin issue.
Workaround (if required)
Set Adobe to open in native application instead of in Browser.
1. Open your Adobe Acrobat program, reader or Pro.
2. Click on Edit then Preferences.
3. In the column that opens locate internet and highlight it.
4. Then remove the check in box for Display PDF in browser.
5. Click Apply or Save (depending on the version).
6. Close Acrobat.
7. Try reopening the PDF.
