Issue
Error Code 727 The configuration was found to be corrupt or illegal. Disallowing this operation until the problem is resolved.
Note: This error has been reported when customer was trying to create a scan new scan cover sheet. Glyphscan was also not working.
Reason/ Possible Cause
This error can happen if the document repository is pointing to the wrong directory and/or the guid.txt file is missing.
Solution
Verify the following configuration settings:
1. Verify that the document repository is listed correctly in the following files:
· <dshome>\config\contentstore.xml.
· <dshome>\config\ contentstore.properties
2. Verify that the guid.txt file exists.
3. Review the error that is listed to see if the path is correct. In this example, the content store has a trailing \ at the end of the documents directory.
Example of path listed in the error may look like this: F:\Xerox\Docushare\documents\\guid.txt
The path should look like this: F:\Xerox\Docushare\documents\guid.txt.
