To improve the password security of the users, you can specify a number of days user passwords are valid after they were created:
Log into the DocuShare site as admin.
Go to Administration Menu | Site Management | Account Policies.
In the section called Password Expiration, set the number of days value next to the label All passwords expire within specified days after creation. Then click Apply.
Note: Changes made to Password Expiration apply to new user accounts only, they do not apply to existing accounts.
For existing accounts, you will have to Change Password of the previously existing users, so that the system will start the expiration clock for these users:
Log into the DocuShare site as admin.
Go to Administration Menu | Account Management | Users | Go to List/Find/Add User
Click on SHOW ALL. It will displays the list of the users.
Click on the name of a user, to view its properties.
Click on Change Password in the left menu.
Enter the values of the fields New Password and New Password Confirm, then click Apply.
Restart this process for each user.
Note: When you change and existing user account’s password the new Account Policy will be applied to the existing account.
Otherwise, each user can change its password:
Log into the DocuShare site.
Click on its name on the top right, to view properties.
Click on Change Password in the left menu.
Enter the values of the fields New Password and New Password Confirm, then click Apply.
