Prerequisites:
· New directory location.
To change the location of the logs directory:
1. Log into DocuShare as admin.
2. Restrict access to the server by setting the Site Access policy to Administrator. This will prevent additional users from accessing the site.
To Restrict Site Access:
a. Go to Site Management l Access Policies.
b. Set the Site Access Authority to Administrator. Click Apply.
c. Allow all users adequate time to complete any changes and log off.
d. Stop any automated or programmatically generated activities, especially ones that use the Content Intake Manager, Content Rules, or Scan-to-DocuShare services.
3. Change the Logging Path.
To change the logging path:
a. Select Admin Home | Services and Components | Logging and change DocuShare log path to new location.
4. Change the Access and Error Logging path.
To change the Access and Error logging path:
a. to Admin Home | Site Management | Repository Log files.
b. In the Access log field change the path to the new location.
c. In the Error log field change the path to the new location.
Warning: If Logging was previously enabled, you will need to copy in the access.csv and error.csv files to the new location in order to be able to apply the path change.
5. Stop DocuShare.
6. Physically copy all logs files from the old location to the new location.
7. Rename the original logs folder name to logs_old
8. Start DocuShare.
9. Login to DocuShare as admin.
10. Set access to back to Users or Guest.
To change site access back to User or Guest:
a. Go to Site Management l Access Policies.
b. Set the Site Access Authority to User or Guest. Click Apply.
11. Once you have confirmed DocuShare is working and logging activity. The old logs can be moved and subsequently deleted (if needed).
