Opening a PDF Documents Loads Two Separate Windows

Note: This applies to Acrobat X.

Note: This solution applies to DS 6.6.x.

Issue

When selecting a PDF in the Web UI of DocuShare the edit/view properties window loads as 2 separate windows one for the properties and another with an image of the document/PDF.

Note: The customer would see a pop-up in the first window that displays the properties, requiring that they open of save the PDF. When open is selected, this is what generates the second window.

Solution

1. Open Adobe Acrobat.

2. Select Edit and then Preferences. The Preferences window displays.

3. From the Categories window select Internet.

4. From the Web Browser Options section place a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display PDF in browser.

5. Click the OK button.
