The Verity search engine used in DocuShare 3.1 has a known problem searching Microsoft Word 6.0 documents. Search results may be incomplete or unsuccessful. Microsoft Word 6.0 documents containing keywords used in your search term may not be found.
This problem does apply to later versions of Microsoft Word such as Microsoft Word 2000 or 2002. Verity Inc. has acknowledged the problem. There is no know workaround at this time.
