Accessing a Wiki Page from Search Results Redirects

Note: This applies to DocuShare 6.5.3 Only.

Issue

Accessing a Wiki page from search results redirects to /Add/Wiki-## Instead of /View/Wiki-##

Possible Cause\Reason

This happens when the Wiki Page has a space in it. In the search results, the URL to the page will be displayed like follow /View/Wiki-##/My%2520WikiPage. The double escaping in the URL redirects to the /Add/Wiki-## page instead of the /View/Wiki-## page.

Solution

This is fixed in DocuShare 6.6.1.

Workaround for DocuShare 6.5.3:

1. Go to \Xerox\Docushare\amber\template

Where is replaced with the installation directory for DocuShare. The default installation path is C:\Xerox\DocuShare. Depending on your installation environment the path may vary.

2. Create a directory called local if it doesn't exist

3. Copy the \amber\template\system\dslib.vdf into the local directory

4. Edit the \amber\template\system\local\dslib.vdf in a text editor such as Notepad.

Warning: Never edit the original VDF files located in \Xerox\Docushare\amber\templates\system.

5. Search for the entry.
