Note: This applies to the Xerox Mobile Client for DocuShare when accessing through http only.
Issue
The user is able to access the site via DocuShare Web UI on Safari web browser on the iPad. However, when trying to use the DocuShare Mobile Connector App the following error is displayed.
Could not authenticate. Check your account settings.
The DocuShare Server’s \tomcat\ds_mobile_connector.log file displays the following error.
Where is replaced with the installation directory for DocuShare. The default installation path is C:\Xerox\Docushare. Depending on your installation environment the path may vary.

Solution
1. Stop DocuShare.
2. Open a Command Prompt window.
3. Change into the \bin directory.
4. Type dssetup and press Enter.
5. When prompted with Would you want to update the configuration? [yes] ?, type y and press Enter.
6. Press Enter to accept all the default values until you get to the following two entries.
a. Tomcat http port= value or the http_port= value change the value to match your environment if needed..
b. HTTP Protocol= value change the value to match your environment if needed.
7. Press Enter to accept the rest of the default values
8. When prompted with Are you happy with your configuration [yes] ?, type y and press Enter.
Note: If you make a mistake or press Enter past the value you need to change you can rerun the tool and make the changes required.
9. Once changes have been successfully made. Start DocuShare.
