Is Visio 2013 with file extension “.vsdx” supported?

Note: This applies to DocuShare 6.6.1.

Currently, Visio 2013 files with extension “.vsdx†is not supported. The latest version of Visio supported in DocuShare 6.6.1 is Visio 2010 which includes file extensions “.vsd†and “.vdxâ€.

Workaround

You may choose one of the following options as an alternative solution:

1. Create a new MIME type for Visio 2013.

a. Log into DocuShare as admin.

b. Select Admin Home | Site Management | MIME Types. The MIME Types page displays.

c. Enter the following information:

· Mime Type: application/vnd.visio2013

· Icon: small/msvisio.png

· Large Icon: large/msvisio.png

· File Extensions: vsdx

· Index for Search: False

· Generate Abstract: False

· Enable HTML View: False

d. Click the Add button.
