The Mobile App for Android is not able to natively render previews of Documents such as Word, PDF, etc. It uses the DocuShare Conversion service to create the HTML rendition of the file. If the Android app is unable to generate a preview or posts an error you should check to see if the Server is able to create HTML renditions.
