After DocuShare is restarted, the first time the Admin accesses the ConnectKey Configuration page under “Services and Components†it caches the URL string used to access the page. It uses this cached string to create the Service URL on the Multifunction Device.
For example,
· If you browse to http://127.0.0.1/docushare it will use that string which would require that you enter the “Alternate Server address†under the Advanced settings.
· If you browse to http://FQDN/docushare after the initial restart it would automatically use the FQDN instead of 127.0.0.1.
Note: The same is true for the Port number used to browse to the Configuration page.
Note: ConnectKey uses the cached URL page for any / all subsequent access to the Configuration page until DocuShare is restarted and clears that cached URL.
For example:
1. If you start DocuShare and browse to the ConnectKey configuration using an HTTPS URL and it fails. It will continue to use the HTTPS URL until DocuShare is restarted.
2. So if you close the browser and open a new browser before restarting DS and browse to the tomcat port over http it will also fail because it will use the cached URL that you accessed in Step 1.
