If a user who does not have administrator access to a computer installs the DocuShare Client, checking out a document from the Web UI may open the document in the browser window (Internet Explorer) and not the application editor. To have the document open in its native editor, you need to enable an IE setting.
To change the IE setting:
1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Make sure Enable third-party browser extensions is checked.
4. Click OK.
