Windows Explorer Crashes When Moving Shortcuts

Note: This applies to DocuShare Client 6.5.1 build 26.

Issue

Windows Explorer crashes attempting to move a shortcut.

Reason / Possible Cause:

This is a limitation of the DocuShare Windows Client.

The shortcut of a Collection is not a physical folder on the Desktop. DocuShare Shortcuts work differently than the shortcuts on Windows work. The DocuShare Client only mimics the Collections to look like folders but there are some limitations.

Solution

This issue is default behaviour of Docushare Client.
