Error code 0x800710FE Is Displayed When Attempting to Open a Document

Note: This solution applies to DocuShare Client build 26 and builds 33.

Issue

When opening a document using the DocuShare Windows Client the following error is displayed.

DocuShare Error Window displays the following error:

DocuShare Client encountered an internal processing error and could not open the folder

Error Code 0x800710FE

HCACHE_QUERY_FAILED

Reason / Possible Cause

The Work In Progress (WIP) folder is installed on a network drive or is in a shared folder.

Solution

Note: You must be a Windows Administrator to perform this solution.

Change the location of WIP folder on a local drive.
