Error: %1 is not a valid win32 application when using the client

Note: This applies to the DocuShare Windows Client.

Issue

Error: %1 is not a valid win32 application when using the client.

Reason / Possible Cause

This issue can happen if the DocuShare Windows Client was previously installed with the 32 bit client and then upgraded using the 64 bit client. This creates two paths to an executable. One in C:/Program files and one in C:/Programs. When Windows tries to start the executable it looks in the wrong directory to launch the program.

Solution

Completely uninstall the DocuShare Windows Client and Install using the new installer.
