Note: When installing a newer version of the DocuShare Client, previous versions must be completely uninstalled before installing the new version.
Prerequisite:
· You must be an Administrator with full privileges to the system registry and user profile for each user.
To uninstall the DocuShare Windows Client:
On Windows XP and Vista:
1. Click Start | Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add and Remove Programs. The Add and Remove Programs window will display.
3. Find the DocuShare Client highlight and select remove.
Note: If the uninstall fails and the prerequisites have been met, then capture the error and contact DocuShare Technical Support to have the case escalated to engineering.
4. Reboot the client PC.
5. After reboot, login as Administrator
6. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the Windows Client Installation path. The default installation path is C:\Program Files\Xerox\
7. Delete the DSClient folder if it still exists.
8. Rename the Docushare folder under My Documents or the Users Personal folder.
On Windows 7:
1. Click Start | Control Panel. The Control Panel window displays.
2. Double-click Programs and Features.
3. Under the Name section of the window right click DocuShare Client and select remove.
Note: If the uninstall fails and the prerequisites have been met, then capture the error and contact DocuShare Technical Support to have the case escalated to engineering.
4. Reboot the client PC.
5. After reboot, login as Administrator
6. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the Windows Client Installation path. The default installation path is C:\Program Files\Xerox\

8. Rename the Docushare folder under My Documents or the Users Personal folder.
