Xerox DocuShare Client Installation Instructions
Before you begin, make sure the DscSetup.exe and DSClient.msi files are located in the same folder. To install the DocuShare Client, you must be an administrator on the computer.
1. Double-click DscSetup.exe.
Important: Do not launch the installation program from the DSClient.msi file.
2. If the User Account Control window displays, click Yes (or OK).
DocuShare Client Setup checks for the required prerequisites. If the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 C/C++ Redistributable Packages are not installed, you are prompted to install them.
3. Click OK to install the packages.
The DocuShare Client Setup window displays. Under Pre-installation check, Check buttons appear next to any prerequisites that need to be installed.
4. Wait until DocuShare Client Setup installs all required prerequisites.
5. After all the prerequisites are installed, click the Readme button to review the release notes.
6. Click the Start button to install the DocuShare Client. Follow the instructions in the DocuShare Client Setup windows.
Note: If you are installing the Client in a language other than English and you use 32-bit Office 2010 on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer, use the Custom installation option and select the Office 2007 option (the option will install the integration feature for Office 2010).
